Robert Prendergast was formerly the President and Chief Operating Officer of Heritage Property Investment Trust, a $3.5 billion dollar shopping center REIT which was sold in October of 2006. While at Heritage, he had various positions: starting as Director of Construction, then Vice President of Property Management and Construction, where he was responsible for the integration of Heritage Properties and the purchase of the public REIT, Bradley. This integration was vital to the success of the organization giving it the opportunity to enter the public markets in April of 2002. In 2004, Mr. Prendergast was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and later became President responsible for the overall operation of the 174 assets located in 30 states. Prior to his career at Heritage, Mr. Prendergast was employed by Urban Retail Properties in the capacity as Manager and worked various multi tenant projects such as Copley Place, in Boston, MA, Ronald Reagan International Trade Center, in Washington, DC and The Moakley Federal Courthouse in Boston, MA.
Bill Prendergast was employed at Heritage Property Investment Trust in 2001 as an Assistant Property Manager. Through his tenor with the firm he performed duties as a Property Manager, Leasing Manager and Construction/Project Manager with a portfolio in excess of 2 million square feet of Retail, Office and Residential space. Bill was also involved in several construction and development projects including the construction of 131 Dartmouth Street a 400,000 square foot office building with a 730 car parking facility located in Boston’s Back Bay. Bill graduated from Salve Regina University and is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Massachusetts.
